Changan Deepal S05 em Portugal desde €36 990

Recently arrived in Portugal, with the Deepal S07, Changan already has a second 100% electric model for sale in the national market, the Deepal S05. A compact SUV available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive versions, measuring 4.620 m in length, 1.900 m in width, 1.600 m in height, and with a wheelbase of 2.880 m.

One of its most striking features is the minimalistic and aerodynamic exterior design, created at the Chinese brand’s design center in Turin, where the split lighting and active grilles stand out at the front. In profile, the frameless windows, retractable door handles, and especially the luminous ring placed on the C-pillar, with the illuminated logo that serves as a battery charge status indicator, are notable – while at the rear, a light bar spans the entire width of the body, and the spoiler is installed at the end of the roof.

The interior is described as a “very functional, serene, and sophisticated” space, capable of offering above-average habitability, especially in the rear, due to the generous wheelbase – complemented by a trunk whose capacity ranges from 492-1250 liters, and the frunk located under the front hood, with 159 liters. At the same time, all elements deemed superfluous have been removed from the dashboard, focusing relevant driving information on the digital instrument panel (aided by the head-up display with augmented reality technology in the more equipped versions), while the infotainment system is controlled through a central 15.4’’ touchscreen, which can move both towards the driver and the front passenger (it shifts up to 15º).  Regarding standard equipment, noteworthy mentions include the Queen’s Seat for the front passenger (with electrically extendable leg support!), the panoramic roof with 1.9 m2 of glazed surface, and the sound system with 14 speakers.

Based on the EPA1 platform, suitable for various types of powertrains, in its 100% electric configuration, the Deepal S05 uses a battery from CATL, with LFP chemistry and a capacity of 68.8 kWh, capable of charging at 11 kW in alternating current or 200 kW at fast charging stations. As for the powertrains, in the rear-wheel drive variant, there is a motor with 271 hp and 290 Nm, with a range of up to 470 km; in the all-wheel drive variant, available in Portugal only at the beginning of 2026, there is an electric motor on each axle, with a combined output of 435 hp and 502 Nm, and a range of up to 430 km.

As for prices, the Deepal S05 with two-wheel drive is offered starting at €36,990 with the Pro equipment level, and from €39,990 at the Max level, with the all-wheel drive version available only at the Max level, starting at €42,990. During the first half of 2026, the range of the new Chinese SUV will be expanded with the launch of the variant powered by a plug-in hybrid engine, capable of achieving more than 100 km in 100% electric mode, which will also be introduced in the S07 offering.
