Francesco Castellaci, an Italian driver from AF Corse, was captured in a photograph during the press conference at the 2024 6 Hours of Imola. The event, which took place from April 18 to 21, 2024, was the second round of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. Castellaci was photographed next to the Ferrari 296 GT3, the car he races for AF Corse, with his co-drivers Davide Rigon and Thomas Flohr.

During a discussion about traffic management on the tight and narrow Imola circuit, Castellaci shared some advice with his fellow drivers. He emphasized the importance of staying on the racing line, even when behind another GT3 car. Castellaci explained that it is crucial not to open up too early when trying to overtake, as Hypercars can approach quickly. He also mentioned the issue of tire buildup, or “marbles,” and how it can affect tire performance. Castellaci recommended staying on the racing line to avoid this issue and allow Hypercars to navigate the circuit smoothly. He also mentioned the benefits of having a new radar system in the car, which helps detect cars approaching from the left or right.

Despite the challenges presented by the tight and technical nature of Imola, Flohr, in particular, was looking forward to the race. He expressed confidence in his experience and stated that following the racing line would be key to success on the track. Castellaci echoed this sentiment and concluded that Flohr enjoys the track, despite its narrowness.
