Carlos Sainz, the Formula 1 sensation, has made a jaw-dropping statement about his new team, Williams, calling them “a family” in a heartwarming revelation that has shocked the racing world. In a recent interview on the High Performance podcast, Sainz gushed about the seamless transition he has experienced since joining Williams from Ferrari at the beginning of the 2025 season.

The Spanish driver expressed his delight in finding a team that not only feels like a family but also provides him with a challenging project that pushes him to new limits. Despite facing some reliability issues and only collecting 13 points so far, Sainz remains optimistic about his future with the Grove outfit.

Williams, currently sitting fifth in the constructors’ standings with 59 points, has shown remarkable improvement compared to their ninth-place finish in the previous season. Sainz’s teammate, Alex Albon, has been leading the charge with 46 points in the drivers’ standings, further solidifying Williams’ resurgence in the championship.

Reflecting on his journey, Sainz shared his initial skepticism about leaving Ferrari but emphasized how the opportunity at Williams has reignited his passion and confidence. The driver highlighted the strong leadership and vision within the team, particularly praising team principal James Vowles for his strategic direction.

Amidst the demanding workload and the challenge of rebuilding Williams, Sainz exudes enthusiasm for the process and is eager to witness the team’s progress under Vowles’ guidance. The driver’s positive outlook and commitment to the project underscore his determination to contribute to Williams’ resurgence in the competitive Formula 1 landscape.

As Sainz continues to integrate himself into the Williams family, fans and critics alike are eagerly anticipating his performance on the track and the team’s trajectory in the upcoming races. With his unwavering spirit and Williams’ unwavering support, Sainz is poised to make a significant impact and potentially reshape the dynamics of the Formula 1 grid.
