In a thrilling turn of events at the GP Miami F1, the second qualifying session saw Carlos Sainz shockingly eliminated from the competition. As the session unfolded, the drivers took to the track with a fierce determination to secure their positions.

Max Verstappen set the initial pace, only to be surpassed by Kimi Antonelli shortly after. However, Lando Norris quickly claimed the top spot, before being dethroned by Oscar Piastri. The battle for supremacy was intense, with Piastri, Norris, Antonelli, Verstappen, Russell, Leclerc, Albon, and Hamilton all vying for the top spots.

Verstappen and Norris pushed hard in their flying laps, with Verstappen reclaiming the lead. Ultimately, Norris emerged victorious with the fastest time of 1:27.109, followed closely by Verstappen and Piastri.

The session ended in heartbreak for some drivers, as Nico Hulkenberg, Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly, Liam Lawson, and the unfortunate Carlos Sainz found themselves out of the running for the next stage of qualifying. Sainz’s hopes were dashed after locking up his wheels, leaving him unable to advance to SQ3.

The competition in Miami is fierce, with surprises at every turn. Stay tuned for more updates on this high-octane event as the race day approaches.
