Carlos Sainz stated that he would not hastily sign a contract for 2025 despite facing pressure from teams.

The Formula 1 driver market has seen a lot of activity in 2024. One driver’s move to Ferrari set off a chain reaction, leaving Sainz without a seat for the upcoming season. Despite receiving interest from multiple teams, Sainz is taking his time to make a decision.

After achieving a surprise podium finish at the Austrian GP last weekend, Sainz revealed that some teams were pressuring him to make a decision about his future. However, he made it clear that he is currently focused on enjoying his recent success.

While there may be teams trying to rush him, Sainz emphasized the importance of savoring the moment of being on the podium.

Furthermore, Sainz responded directly to these teams, stating that he will take all the time he needs to make such a significant decision about his future. He acknowledged that he cannot control the impatience of certain teams who are struggling to wait. There were rumors that Williams was a potential destination for Sainz a few weeks ago.

Sainz has become the most sought-after driver in the transfer market this year. As the only driver from the top 3 teams available, his decision will have a significant impact on other drivers such as and . Even Alpine is reportedly interested in signing Sainz for next season.

Sainz affirmed that he will make the decision about his future on his own. He also promised to be honest with everyone involved and give himself sufficient time to contemplate. Audi has reportedly created a list of four alternative drivers in case Sainz does not join Sauber next year.

“It’s going to be my future, my decision, and I’m going to try and be as honest as possible with everyone and give myself the time that I need,” Sainz stated.

Carlos Sainz is still uncertain about which team he will join in Formula 1. He has plenty of options, but it is likely that the 29-year-old will end up in the midfield next season. The specific team and timing of Sainz’s announcement are yet to be determined.
