Carlos Sainz supostamente perdeu prazo de prazo de condução da Audi em 2025.

Carlos Sainz may have missed the opportunity to race for Audi after failing to meet the deadline to accept the offer. Sainz’s future beyond 2024 is now uncertain, as he has been replaced by Ferrari for 2025. The 29-year-old driver had reportedly been approached by several constructors and needs to make a decision soon. Among the various options, Audi had given Sainz a two-week ultimatum to secure his place at Sauber and then with Audi. However, it was revealed that Sainz did not respond to the ultimatum.

The “two-week ultimatum” from Audi for Sainz to join them in 2026 would require him to race for Sauber in 2025. However, this would not benefit Sainz’s career due to Sauber’s poor performance. Reports suggest that Sainz did not respond to Audi’s ultimatum. With Audi hiring another driver and actively seeking a second driver, Sainz’s lack of interest may eliminate his chances of working with the German manufacturer.

Journalist Lobato provided further information on the situation. Lobato emphasized that accepting Audi’s offer could have provided Sainz with some peace of mind. However, Sainz chose to take a risk and wait for an opportunity at Mercedes or even Red Bull. These possibilities would only be worthwhile if Mercedes decided to make a move in 2025.

Carlos Sainz still faces a great deal of uncertainty regarding his future in Formula 1. If Sainz is unable to secure a place with a reputable constructor, his efforts in the 2024 season would be in vain. Speaking about his departure from Ferrari, Sainz acknowledged that it was both a positive and negative experience. The positive aspect was the strong start to the season, one of the best of his career. However, ending his relationship with Maranello in 2025 left the Spaniard feeling downcast.

Despite leaving the team, Sainz expressed that he had a great time racing for the Italian constructor. The 29-year-old driver will find the best possible team for the next season and hopefully will continue in Formula 1. Offers were on the table and it was up to Sainz to finalize his choice of teams.

Carlos Sainz’s performances in 2024 will certainly influence contract negotiations for the 2025 season. At the moment, Sainz could potentially join Mercedes, although as the secondary driver. Alternatively, a scenario with Red Bull could arise if their current driver does not perform well or if Max Verstappen decides to leave. Therefore, several factors will need to align for Sainz to secure a place in these teams.
