Carlos Sainz vinca necessidade de melhorar arranques

On the way to the first corner of the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix, the Ferraris lost the first two positions they held on the starting grid – easily overtaken by the Red Bulls, especially Max Verstappen.

After the Mexican race, Carlos Sainz admitted that, like his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, he will have to examine their performance in the starts: ‘We will have to look at the starts because neither of us had a good start, both me and Charles. [Max] Verstappen was very fast right from the beginning. I saw that Max was alongside me when we started, so it’s something that needs to be analyzed’.

Despite everything, the Spaniard conceded that it would not be possible to hold onto the positions for long: ‘Seeing the pace that Max and [Lewis] Hamilton had, it was only a matter of time before they overtook us. They were much faster in terms of race pace, which was what we expected. They had more pace, we had to manage the temperatures a lot’.
