The Ferrari Formula 1 team had a memorable race weekend during the Australian Grand Prix. The team achieved a one-two finish and clearly had a better car than the Red Bull RB20. However, despite this, it is believed that Ferrari needs an upgrade to continue competing with the Austrian team.

The Red Bull Formula 1 team, led by , had a surprisingly disappointing race at Albert Park. However, they are still the leaders at the top of the grid.

Carlos Sainz acknowledges this fact and therefore hopes that his team introduces a significant upgrade for the SF-24.

The 29-year-old driver made it clear that unless Ferrari improves the SF-24, he and his teammate will struggle to keep up with the strong Red Bulls. Sainz also mentioned the difficulties Ferrari faced in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to provide some context.

While Carlos Sainz waits for a Ferrari upgrade in the near future, he recently discussed the challenges he faced in Australia. He managed to overtake the 26-year-old driver after the first few laps.

Verstappen retired from the Australian GP during the fourth lap of the 58-lap race.

After the third round of the 2024 F1 season, there is only a four-point difference between Ferrari and Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship. The same applies to the Drivers’ Championship, with Charles Leclerc trailing Verstappen by four points. Taking all of this into consideration, the next weekend of the Japanese GP promises to be an intriguing event.
