Carlos Sainz stayed out of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez paddock this Thursday – the opening day of the Mexico City Grand Prix program. All because he feels sick, although nothing prevents him from competing in the race.
Ferrari clarified the situation of their driver in a short statement: ‘Carlos is not feeling well. It’s nothing serious, so we expect him to be ready to get back in the car on Friday’.
At the moment, Sainz is the best driver of the Scuderia in the championship: he is in fifth place, just 30 points away from the absolute podium of the World Championship and with a 21-point lead over teammate Charles Leclerc.
