Carlos Sainz shares unexpected revelation on Lewis Hamilton contacting Ferrari instead of team initiating contact.

Carlos Sainz has turned the tables on Lewis Hamilton by claiming that the British driver has approached Ferrari for a seat, contrary to previous beliefs that it was Ferrari who had expressed interest in him initially.

Recent Formula 1 headlines have been dominated by Hamilton’s surprising move to Ferrari. The 39-year-old has been praised for his loyalty, having spent 11 years with the Brackley team and now entering his 12th season. However, at this stage of his career, Hamilton seems to have come to the conclusion that his progress has stalled under the leadership of [name], as he has failed to win a single Grand Prix in the past two years. This has led him to sign up for a switch to Ferrari, taking [name]’s place.

Ferrari signed Carlos Sainz at the end of 2021, after he had already gained recognition for his impressive performances with McLaren. The Spaniard showed flashes of brilliance as a Ferrari driver, but struggled to maintain consistent results. In his debut season with the Maranello team, Sainz impressed everyone with a decisive victory at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. He repeated this achievement in 2023, becoming the only non-Red Bull driver to win a Grand Prix that season.

However, Carlos Sainz’s fate seems to have already been sealed, as he recently revealed that Ferrari couldn’t resist replacing him with Hamilton. Interestingly, Sainz disclosed that it was Hamilton who reached out to Ferrari, rather than the other way around.

“I believe it’s clear that when a seven-time world champion like Hamilton approaches a team like Ferrari, there will be interest, and it’s possible that the contract will eventually be confirmed,” Carlos Sainz stated, as reported by GP Blog.

As the 2024 season approaches, Carlos Sainz is well aware that this will be his final opportunity to race for the prestigious [team name]. The Spaniard took to his official social media account to address his departure from Ferrari. In his statement, he assured the loyal fans (Tifosi) that he will shine brightly in his last season for them.

In other news, Sainz’s future in Formula 1 beyond 2024 remains uncertain, as his team has remained tight-lipped about his prospects. There have been rumors suggesting that Williams is considering signing him as Alex Albon’s teammate, potentially ending Logan Sargeant’s career in the pinnacle of motorsports. However, these reports are currently unverified, and only time will reveal where Carlos Sainz will end up in the 2025 F1 season.
