Carlos Sainz cotado para ser parceiro de Max Verstappen na Red Bull.

Carlos Sainz quickly became one of the most sought-after drivers in the 2024 driver market.

Prior to the start of the 2024 season, it was revealed that another driver would no longer be driving for the team after the current campaign. However, since then, the 29-year-old driver has positioned himself as the top driver on the grid, trailing only the prolific driver. Sainz’s impressive performances have now put him in contention for the second seat on the team for 2025.

According to reports from Soymotor and other sources, Red Bull has reached out to Carlos Sainz and a return to the team is being seriously considered. Sainz was part of the Red Bull driver group during his debut season in 2015 with Toro Rosso. He left the team’s driver group to pursue his career elsewhere, but after many years, it seems that the Milton Keynes-based team is the best option for him in 2025 to compete for Grand Prix wins.

Red Bull has a wide range of drivers to choose from. The stability provided by a driver would be highly valued by the team, as that driver has significantly improved their performance. Additionally, Red Bull also has the option to choose from their list of drivers, including two other drivers.

Considering all factors, a return to the Austrian manufacturer for Sainz is definitely a possibility. However, he would need to deliver exceptional performances, as he did in the Australian GP, to convince Red Bull leadership to hire him for the next year.

Another team has not yet fully committed to Sainz, but the German manufacturer has been pressuring him to make a decision soon amid the driver market drama. However, an F1 presenter has a different opinion on the situation.

The presenter believes that another team could be a better alternative for Sainz instead of a long-term project with Audi. They argue that the Sauber-Audi project may not align with Sainz’s desires. Furthermore, by the time Audi could start winning in F1, Sainz may no longer be at his peak and could be let go at that point.

According to the presenter, the British team is a better option for Sainz if he is not selected by Red Bull. This move would make him the team leader at Williams and help the team led by James Vowels to grow. Sainz is arguably one of the top drivers on the current grid.
