Oliver Bearman took over Carlos Sainz’s place in the Maranello-based team for the rest of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend. Sainz received well wishes from around the world regarding his appendicitis issue and, after a successful surgery, took the opportunity to provide an update.
The 29-year-old driver underwent surgery at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital and expressed gratitude for the support and care received in Saudi Arabia. He also praised the 18-year-old Bearman’s performance during qualifying and acknowledged his teammate at Ferrari.
Although Carlos Sainz may not be able to participate in the upcoming Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, he may be available for the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled to start on March 22. With a break of over 10 to 12 days after the Saudi weekend, Sainz may recover in time. However, it is important for him not to overexert himself and risk prolonging his recovery.
