Carlos Sainz stated that he will not hastily sign a contract for 2025, despite pressure from teams.

The Formula 1 driver market had significant activity in 2024, triggering a chain reaction after the announcement of a driver’s move to Ferrari. However, this left Sainz without a seat for the next season. Although several teams have shown interest, Sainz seems to have no rush in making a decision at the moment.

The Spanish driver achieved an unexpected podium finish at the Austrian GP last weekend. He mentioned that there are teams trying to pressure him into making a decision about his future. However, Sainz emphasized that he is currently more focused on savoring his result at the Red Bull Ring.

Therefore, while there may be some eager teams or ones pressuring me, it is also time for me to enjoy this moment of being on the podium.

In addition, Carlos Sainz directly responded to such organizations. The 29-year-old driver stated that he will take the necessary time before making such a significant decision about his future. Sainz stated that he cannot control impatient teams who have difficulty waiting. Rumors emerged a few weeks ago that Williams was the most likely destination for the Spaniard.

Sainz has become the most sought-after driver in this year’s transfer market. He is the only driver from the top three teams who is available, making it challenging for other drivers like [insert names] as their fate is linked to Carlos Sainz’s decision. Additionally, even Alpine has shown interest in the 29-year-old driver for the next season.

Carlos Sainz stated that he will make the decision about his future on his own. Additionally, the Spanish driver mentioned that he will strive to be transparent with everyone involved, giving himself enough time for contemplation. Reports suggest that Audi has even compiled a list of four drivers as potential alternatives to Sainz, in case he does not join Sauber next year.

It will be my future, my decision, and I will try to be as honest as possible with everyone and give myself the time I need.

Undoubtedly, Carlos Sainz is still uncertain about his future team in Formula 1. The Spanish driver has several options available, but it is likely that the 29-year-old driver will have to settle for a midfield team next season. Therefore, it remains to be seen where Sainz will end up next year and when he will announce his move.
