Red Bull disappoints in Monaco GP
Red Bull’s performance in the Monaco GP fell far short of Ferrari’s level. The Ferrari Formula 1 team has been the center of attention after their impressive one-two finish on the podium. In contrast, Red Bull only managed to secure eighth place, which was a surprising result. Qualifying in Monaco has always been crucial, and it was in this aspect that Max Verstappen and his team struggled. Carlos Sainz, who witnessed these difficulties firsthand, believes that Red Bull is starting to feel the pressure in the championship battle. Verstappen only managed sixth place in qualifying, while Perez was eliminated in the first round. Ferrari and McLaren have shown significant improvement in recent races, even securing victories. This unexpected performance from their rivals caught Red Bull off guard. Sainz acknowledges this reality and believes that his team must keep the pressure on in the upcoming races. Red Bull has been dominant since the start of the 2022 season due to favorable ground effect regulations. However, with Ferrari’s victory in Monaco, the team’s morale is high. Sainz even expressed doubts that Verstappen and his team can continue their dominance for the rest of the 2024 season. With 16 more Grand Prix events remaining on the calendar, Ferrari has a golden opportunity to clinch a championship title after over a decade. However, they must give their all in every race weekend, as the gap between them and Red Bull is not insurmountable.
