Carlos Sainz emerged victorious at the Australian Grand Prix just two weeks after facing appendicitis. The 29-year-old driver admitted he almost gave up hope of competing at Albert Park.

Similarly, the Spaniard pointed out that even shared similar recommendations about the healing process. Thus, Sainz believes his recovery journey largely aligned with the advice he received.

Carlos Sainz could have easily missed the Australian GP if he had been deemed unfit to race. He faced challenges during practice sessions and felt discomfort during the competition. However, the 29-year-old driver spared no effort to accelerate his recovery. Sainz revealed that shortly after his surgery, he sought advice from professionals online to ensure a speedy recovery.

After that, the Spanish driver used several methods to facilitate his quick recovery. Sainz turned to the use of hyperbaric chambers and an Indiba machine. In addition, the 29-year-old driver meticulously regulated his sleep schedule and eating habits to ensure his physical fitness in time for the race in Melbourne.

Thus, the 2024 season started on a high note for both the team and Carlos Sainz. However, the 29-year-old driver has not yet confirmed which team he will race for starting in 2025. Despite Red Bull’s dominant performance, Sainz showed his racing skills with this victory. Only time will reveal how the season will unfold for the Italian constructor.
