Carlos Sainz mexe na estratégia da Ferrari contra Lewis Hamilton.

The recent achievements of Carlos Sainz have been attracting attention, especially as Lewis Hamilton faces difficulties at Mercedes, failing to reach a position higher than seventh in the first three races.

Former Formula 1 driver Christian Danner has expressed strong opinions about Carlos Sainz’s current performance in the 2024 Formula 1 season. Danner suggests that Sainz’s impressive performances are disrupting Ferrari’s plans and sparking debates about the team’s decision to hire Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season.

Sainz’s recent successes, including a podium in Bahrain and a victory in Australia, have raised questions about Ferrari’s choice. This is particularly notable considering Hamilton’s struggles at Mercedes.

Danner’s remarks to Motorsport-Magazin.com highlight the unexpected challenge that Sainz presents to Ferrari’s strategy. He suggests that Sainz’s exceptional performance may lead some to question the wisdom of Ferrari’s decision, especially as Sainz outperforms his teammate Charles Leclerc, who has a multi-year contract with the team.

Danner’s criticism extends to the internal dynamics within Ferrari, highlighting potential discomfort for Leclerc and the premature nature of the team’s decision to hire Hamilton.

Danner admires Sainz’s determination and aggressive approach, noting the clear ambition evident in his performances. He argues that this situation demonstrates that team principal Fred Vasseur may have rushed into committing to Hamilton without fully considering Sainz’s potential and current form.

The relationship between Hamilton and Vasseur is not new, as they have a history of success dating back to Hamilton’s GP2 days. However, Hamilton’s current season contrasts sharply with Sainz’s success, raising questions about whether Ferrari is investing in a driver who has already passed his prime.

Nevertheless, Danner rejects the idea that Hamilton is experiencing a decline similar to Daniel Ricciardo’s struggles. Instead, he suggests that Hamilton’s issues are specific to his current situation at Mercedes.

As the season progresses, the discussion around Ferrari’s decision, Sainz’s future, and Hamilton’s form continues to evolve. Sainz’s exceptional performances not only make a statement on the track but also fuel speculation about his next move, with links to top teams like Mercedes, Red Bull, and the future Audi team.
