Cadillac unveils striking new liveries for 2025 IMSA season

Cadillac Racing, Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR), and Action Express Racing (AXR) have unveiled bold new liveries and sponsorship updates for their Cadillac V-Series.R entries ahead of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The highly anticipated designs and partnerships reflect the teams’ ambitions for another competitive season.

A fresh look for Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing

WTR’s two Cadillac V-Series.Rs will sport revamped liveries, marking a departure from recent years.

  • No. 10 Cadillac: The iconic blue-and-black color scheme remains, but with a refined design that pays homage to its championship pedigree.
  • No. 40 Cadillac: Previously red, the car now dons a sleek silver livery, offering a modern and striking appearance.

Primary sponsorship for both cars comes from DEX Imaging and HP, with HP stepping in to replace longtime partner Konica Minolta. This ends a decade-long partnership with WTR for the No. 10 entry.

Wayne Taylor, team owner, expressed enthusiasm about the updates:
“The No. 10 and No. 40 DEX Cadillac cars look spectacular. Daytona sets the tone for the season, and we’re looking for strong results from our team.”

DEX Imaging will also back WTR’s No. 45 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 in the GTD class, further solidifying its commitment to the team.

Action Express Racing renews Whelen partnership

Meanwhile, Action Express Racing’s No. 31 Cadillac will feature a refreshed red-and-black livery as part of a renewed partnership with Whelen Engineering.

The sponsorship agreement has been extended through 2027, continuing an eight-year collaboration that has yielded significant success, including a championship season in 2023.

Sonny Whelen, Executive VP of Whelen Engineering, said:
“This partnership has been built on shared innovation, passion, and excellence. After an incredible 2023 championship season, we’re eager to return to championship form in 2025.”

Roar Before the 24 and Rolex 24 At Daytona

All three Cadillac V-Series.Rs will debut their new liveries this weekend during the Roar Before the 24, a critical testing event before the season-opening 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 25-26.

The Rolex 24 is expected to set the tone for the 2025 season, with Cadillac teams aiming for a strong showing in the iconic endurance race.

A season of high expectations

With fresh designs, renewed partnerships, and ambitious goals, Cadillac Racing, WTR, and AXR are ready to hit the ground running in 2025. Fans and competitors alike will be watching closely to see if the V-Series.Rs can uphold Cadillac’s legacy of performance and innovation in the IMSA GTP class.
