Cadillac F1 team’s Graeme Lowdon hails instant brilliance of Bottas and Perez in testing

Title: Cadillac F1's Dynamic Duo: Bottas and Perez Deliver Immediate Impact in Pre-Season Testing!

In a thrilling start to the Formula 1 season, Cadillac's team principal, Graeme Lowdon, has ignited excitement by spotlighting the remarkable contributions of veteran drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez during the team's inaugural pre-season testing. The American outfit is gearing up to make its debut at the Australian Grand Prix as the 11th team in the championship, and it appears they’ve hit the jackpot with their seasoned driver lineup.

Lowdon expressed his enthusiasm regarding the duo's “super accurate” feedback, noting that their wealth of experience is proving to be an invaluable asset. Both drivers, who have extensive histories in the sport—Perez since 2011 and Bottas since 2013—bring a treasure trove of knowledge from various teams and technical setups. “It definitely complements because the great thing is we're getting accurate feedback straight away,” Lowdon declared, emphasizing that with their refined skills, the team is not wasting precious time in their development process.

The team principal underscored the critical importance of having drivers who can swiftly adapt to new machines, stating, “These guys are so experienced with multiple different teams, working with multiple different engineers and different cars, different power units, different chassis.” Even though the 2026 model is a significant departure from what they are used to, Bottas and Perez are proving that their expertise can bridge that gap seamlessly.

Lowdon elaborated on the feedback from the drivers, describing it as “super accurate, thoughtful, and valuable,” which is precisely what the Cadillac team was hoping to gain. He noted that time is of the essence in F1: “Quick as well, we've had a few little bits and bobs where the run plans have had to be squeezed,” reflecting the high-pressure environment of the testing phase where every second counts.

With the Bahrain International Circuit serving as the backdrop for this pivotal testing period, Bottas made headlines during the initial sessions. Despite facing setbacks due to red flag interruptions, he showcased his prowess by quickly acclimating to the C3 tires, delivering immediate insights that the team can leverage. “It's what you want from a Formula 1 driver, super accurate feedback mixed with fast, really, really fast,” Lowdon exclaimed, clearly thrilled with the early performance of his drivers.

As the excitement builds, the second three-day testing block is set to kick off on February 18, promising to reveal even more about Cadillac's potential for the upcoming season. With Bottas and Perez at the helm, fans and critics alike are eager to see if this dynamic duo can propel Cadillac to new heights in Formula 1. Buckle up; the race for glory has only just begun!
