Patricio ‘Pato’ O’Ward, the Mexican racing sensation, has set the motorsport world abuzz with his recent witty and sassy remarks regarding a potential move to the new Cadillac team in 2026. Speculations have been rife about the future of the talented driver, with names like Mick Schumacher and Valtteri Bottas also in the mix for a coveted spot in the American team.

In a recent interview, O’Ward quashed the rumors with a touch of humor, comparing the likelihood of him joining Cadillac to a far-fetched scenario involving Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift. The 26-year-old, who has been making waves in the IndyCar series with 8 wins under his belt, dismissed the idea of transitioning to Formula 1 with Cadillac as pure fantasy.

While the motorsport community eagerly awaits the official lineup announcement from Cadillac for the 2026 season, O’Ward remains focused on his current commitments in IndyCar, driving for Arrow McLaren. Despite the allure of the glitzy F1 circus, the young driver seems content in his current racing environment, leaving fans and pundits alike intrigued about what the future holds for this rising star.

As the saga of driver transfers and team movements continues to unfold in the world of motorsport, O’Ward’s nonchalant yet sassy response adds a touch of spice to the already exhilarating mix of rumors and speculations. Will we see O’Ward alongside the likes of Verstappen and Hamilton in the near future, or will he continue his journey in the American racing scene, only time will tell. Stay tuned as the drama and excitement of motorsport never fail to deliver.
