BYD apresenta a “Super e-Plataform” que permite carregamento tão rápidos como o abastecimento a gasolina

BYD announced that the Dolphin Surf, the brand’s most affordable model in the European market, will be the first model to be produced at the future factory in Szeged, Hungary, which is expected to open at the end of 2025.

The 100% electric city car will be the starting point for production “Made in Europe, for Europe,” consolidating the presence of the Chinese brand in the European market.

“Europe is a market of enormous importance for BYD. Therefore, it is symbolic to announce, at the largest auto show in the region, that the Dolphin Surf will be the first vehicle to come out of our production facility in Hungary,” said Stella Li, executive vice president of BYD, speaking to reporters at the Munich Motor Show.

With the production of the Dolphin Surf in Hungary, BYD surpasses the import tariffs imposed by the European Union on electric models produced in China, taking another step in strengthening its international expansion strategy.

Remember that the Dolphin Surf is available in the national market with three versions. The entry-level variant, Active, features the Blade Battery of 30kWh that powers an electric motor with 88 hp, and a range of up to 220 km, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.1 seconds.

On the other hand, the Boost and Comfort versions, the most powerful, are equipped with a 43.2kWh battery that allows the electric motor to provide two levels of power, 88 hp and 155 hp, announcing a range of up to 322 km in the combined WLTP cycle. In the city, it reaches a range of 507 km. The most powerful version of the Dolphin Surf also claims an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds.

In terms of charging, the new Dolphin Surf allows for DC charging of 65kW for the Active version and 85kW for the Boost and Comfort variants, meaning that, regardless of battery capacity, it can go from 10% to 80% of battery capacity in 30 minutes.

The person in charge at BYD also confirmed that the highly anticipated Flash Charging technology will arrive in Europe sooner than expected, with 200 to 300 operational electric vehicle charging stations by the second quarter of 2026, led by the premium brand Denza.

Another highlight was the presentation of the BYD Certified Pre-Owned program, created to offer additional confidence to those looking for a used vehicle from the brand.

In this way, and within the scope of this new program, all vehicles undergo an inspection of 179 points, in order to maintain a guarantee of at least 90% good condition of the battery and include benefits such as extended warranty, roadside assistance, and digital services.
