Yangwang, a brand of BYD, had already revealed that it is preparing a new version of the U9 with about 3000 hp of power, and now it has released a video showing the supercar, which the brand claims is the most powerful model ever.
The short video released on social media shows a test model of the Yangwang U9 coming out of a garage, but BYD did not provide any details about the design or technical specifications of the prototype 02.
Although the model is in the early testing phase, the teaser for the U9 02 comes at a time when the test model 01 has achieved some records in recent months, including that of the fastest production electric vehicle in the world, reaching a speed of 472.41 km/h.
It is worth noting that the current Yangwang U9 uses an 80 kWh phosphate battery, providing a range of 450 km in the generous Chinese CLTC cycle. The charging specifications include a fast charging capacity of up to 500 kW in DC, allowing it to charge from 30% to 80% in about 10 minutes.
Furthermore, the U9 uses a suspension with double arms at the front and multi-link at the rear, combined with BYD’s intelligent body control system, DiSus-X, which allows for synchronized movement of the body.
