BYD, a world-leading manufacturer of electrified vehicles, has reached the production of 7 million electric vehicles, a new record achieved with a Denza N7 model, the 100% electric SUV crossover from the premium brand of the Chinese manufacturer, produced at the Jinan factory in China.
BYD reached the production of 1 million new energy vehicles in May 2021, quickly multiplying this number by three in just 18 months, surpassing 5 million units produced in only an additional 9 months.
Just 7 months after reaching the 5 million vehicles produced milestone, BYD now announces that it has achieved the milestone of 7 million units produced, demonstrating a robust end-to-end supply chain and economies of scale.
Furthermore, the Chinese manufacturer revealed that by 2023, cumulative annual sales reached 3.02 million units, solidifying its status as a global leader in sales of new energy vehicles.
