Bugatti has already shown that it is capable of fulfilling any type of desire from its customers, at any time, even after delivering one of its models.
The most recent example is that of an American couple who decided to celebrate their great passion for Bugatti by acquiring two Chiron Super Sport, a special request, which led to the husband’s model being delivered first, allowing the customer to enjoy the French sports car on the roads of the USA.
However, while closely following the production work of the Bugatti Sur Mesure team, the brand’s customization department, on his wife’s Chiron, the customer decided to bring back his sports car to the factory for a new customization according to his wife’s model, which had a paint inspired by the Bugatti Veyron L’Or Blanc revealed in 2011.
The supercar features a porcelain finish paint, which allows it to imitate the reflections of light on the orange and red two-tone paint of the Chiron.
The intricate process of creating this paint scheme takes weeks, according to Bugatti, and begins with the creation of 2D shapes representing the flowing lines over the Chiron, which must be applied to the 3D surfaces with millimeter-perfect precision and glued. Each marked millimeter of the lines is then meticulously hand-painted, layer by layer, with the contrasting color – orange in this case.
Considering the impressive result of the paint job, the husband decided to request a new paint job for his Chiron Super Sport in blue that matches the black carbon fiber bodywork, in order to match his wife’s Bugatti.
In addition to the bodywork paint, which took over four weeks, the wheels were also customized with a new two-tone finish.
