Bugatti confirmed this Thursday that its next model, which will replace the Chiron, will be launched in June and will feature an 8.3-liter V16 engine developed by Cosworth and will have hybrid technology.
The Molsheim brand has now released a teaser and a video, showing what appears to be a carbon fiber intake cover, but with a top plate designed similar to the style used in classic V-8 and V-12 engines.
The video provides the opportunity to listen to the sound of the new engine, which appears to be more powerful than the roar of the Chiron’s W-16 engine.
Bugatti has announced that this year, eight years after the unveiling of the Chiron, the French brand is ready to reveal to the world the first page of the newest chapter in its rich history.
Recall that Bugatti-Rimac CEO, Mate Rimac, has already stated that the successor to the Chiron will bring a surprise, mentioning that the new model will receive never-before-seen features and a “highly electrified” power based on an “attractive combustion engine”. According to Achim Anscheidt, former design director of Bugatti, the car will be even more amazing than the Mistral. “It will be amazing, technologically, in terms of innovation, in terms of unpredictability”.
