Brundle believes that Newey changing F1 teams would have a double impact.

Brundle acredita que mudança de equipe de F1 por Newey teria duplo impacto.

Adrian Newey, Chief Technical Officer of Red Bull Racing, is rumored to be leaving the team after nearly 20 years. This news caught the attention of former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle, who believes that Newey’s departure would have a significant impact on other teams in the sport. Brundle suggests that Newey’s expertise and experience would be a valuable asset to any team that could secure his services, while also preventing a rival team from benefiting from his talents. Although there have been reports that Ferrari and Aston Martin have expressed interest in Newey, Red Bull has stated that they are unaware of any plans for his departure. However, it is worth noting that Newey’s current contract with Red Bull contains clauses that could potentially delay his departure until 2027. Despite this, Ferrari would be willing to pay a substantial amount to negotiate an early release with Red Bull. Additionally, Ferrari has been actively recruiting talent, with Red Bull’s Technical Director Pierre Wache being mentioned as a potential target. Furthermore, Ferrari’s Chairman John Elkann recently signed a long-term contract with Lewis Hamilton, with the intention of bringing the seven-time champion to Maranello in 2025.
