Tony Stewart Falls Short in NHRA Racing Showdown Against Brittany Force’s Unbeatable Record
Tony Stewart, the former NASCAR powerhouse, faced a tough challenge in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) racing series against Brittany Force’s exceptional record. Racing for his team, Tony Stewart Racing Nitro, Stewart gave it his all but couldn’t outshine Force in either elapsed time or top speed.
Stewart, a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, ventured into NHRA competition when his wife, Leah Pruett, took a break from racing in 2024 to start a family. At the ongoing Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Chicago, Stewart showcased his skills by setting a personal record of 3.679 seconds in elapsed time and hitting a top speed of 332.43 miles per hour in the Top Fuel Dragster category. However, Force’s legacy remains unchallenged with her remarkable 3.623-second record set in 2019 and a top speed of 338.94 miles per hour.
Despite Stewart’s impressive display, he currently trails Championship leader Shawn Langdon with 352 points, while Brittany Force holds the fifth position with 301 points in the competitive Top Fuel Dragster category.
