Brad Keselowski, the co-owner of RFK Racing, has finally broken his silence on the chaotic Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway. The event, marred by overaggressive driving and multiple wrecks, left many in the NASCAR community outraged.

Keselowski, a seasoned racer and 2012 NASCAR Cup champion, offered a bold solution to address the lack of respect and reckless behavior on the track. He emphasized the need for team owners to take a stand and hold their drivers accountable for their actions. In a tweet, Keselowski stated, “The solution needs to come from the car owners, not NASCAR. Until the car owners are willing to park their drivers for getting out of control, very little will change.”

The veteran racer pointed out the importance of instilling consequences for drivers’ actions and acknowledged the financial concerns that some teams may have in enforcing discipline. Despite the risks involved, Keselowski stressed the necessity of prioritizing sportsmanship and safety on the track.

Denny Hamlin, another veteran driver and team owner, echoed Keselowski’s sentiments, calling for NASCAR to intervene in addressing the escalating issues of aggressive driving. Hamlin emphasized the need for stricter enforcement of penalties, including the use of black flags to penalize egregious behavior on the track.

The call for action from Keselowski, Hamlin, and other experienced racers underscores the urgency of implementing changes to improve the racing culture in the Xfinity Series. As the debate continues within the NASCAR community, all eyes are on how stakeholders will collaborate to ensure a safer and more respectful environment for drivers and fans alike.
