Brad Keselowski afirma que até equipes bem-sucedidas estão “perdendo dinheiro” na NASCAR.

Brad Keselowski made significant statements about the negotiations for the concession agreement in the 2024 NASCAR Cup season. The discussions for a new agreement have been ongoing for over two years, with both sides rejecting various proposals. The conversation around this subject continues, with each party making demands that are too extreme for the other to meet.

Amidst this uncertainty, the owner and driver of RFK Racing, who is also a former Cup champion, discussed the reasons behind the incident in a recent appearance on a podcast. He highlighted the impact of inflation and the ever-changing sponsorship landscape, which has made it extremely challenging for teams to maintain sustainability. Even the best-managed teams are operating at a loss.

According to the veteran, the sport’s top teams are working twice as hard just to break even. Therefore, it is crucial for the sanctioning body to establish a stable platform that allows teams to consistently reach the breakeven point. Inflation has had a detrimental effect on teams, creating a significant deficit in their budgets. That is why the negotiations for the concession are currently in a state of uncertainty, as teams are desperately in need of a solution.

The main issue in these concession agreement negotiations is undoubtedly the financial aspect. Teams are being forced to make budget cuts, and if they do not receive sufficient financial support from NASCAR, the struggle will continue for teams like SHR.
