Brabus Rocket GTS um Shooting Brake com 1000 cv

Brabus has just unveiled the new Rocket GTS, a Mercedes AMG SL transformed into a Shooting Brake, which may well be the most radical work to date from the tuner specialized in Mercedes models.

To produce this model, Brabus had to manufacture several body panels, including the roof, rear fenders, and rear door. In this regard, the Rocket GTS boasts a bold body entirely made of carbon fiber, featuring generously sized front fenders, a ventilated hood, and sportier air intakes, resulting in a design that is sure to turn heads.

Also noteworthy is the flat roofline, complemented by a pronounced ducktail spoiler and an aggressive diffuser that significantly increases downforce at higher speeds.

Under the hood lies a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, generating a total power output of 1000 hp and an impressive 1820 Nm of maximum torque.

All this power is transmitted through a nine-speed automatic transmission and is put to the asphalt via Brabus wheels measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear axle.

Thus, this Rocket GTS boasts an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds — slightly faster than a standard SL, while the announced top speed is 317 km/h.

Inside, Brabus has equipped this radical Rocket GTS with the Brabus Masterpiece trim level featuring soft leather and Alcantara upholstery, combining slate gray and black tones with light gray stitching. Additionally, several exposed carbon details have been added, along with various Brabus logos and Shadow Gray accents.

Brabus has not disclosed how many units of the “limited edition” Rocket GTS will be produced, but the new model is already available for sale on the official Brabus website, with a truly exorbitant price of € 945,762.50.
