Bottas pede à Sauber para introduzir melhorias maiores para acompanhar os concorrentes.

Valtteri Bottas, Finnish driver of the Sauber Formula 1 team, expressed the need for significant improvements after the team’s disappointing performance in the Canadian Grand Prix. Sauber has yet to score any points in the Constructors’ Championship this season and once again finished outside of the scoring positions in Montreal. In an attempt to make changes to their setup, both Sauber cars started from the pit lane after being eliminated in Q1. Despite these efforts, Bottas believes the team needs to bring more updates to close the gap to their competitors. He emphasized the importance of larger and more frequent updates to improve the car’s performance. Bottas acknowledged that the team’s slightly better result in Canada was largely due to mistakes made by other drivers and that Sauber’s pace is still not among the top 10 teams. Reflecting on his own race, Bottas praised the decision to increase the car’s aerodynamic pressure, which proved beneficial in variable weather conditions. On the other hand, his teammate Zhou Guanuu struggled throughout the weekend, suffering two accidents during free practice sessions and finishing as the last classified driver. Zhou suspected there may have been issues with his car and mentioned that the team will review the car at their headquarters in Hinwil to identify possible faults. He expressed a lack of confidence in the car’s performance throughout the weekend.
