Bortoleto Gears Up for Thrilling Debut at Austin Circuit!

After the disappointment of the Singapore Grand Prix, where both Sauber drivers struggled to break into the top 15, Brazilian sensation Gabriel Bortoleto is set to take on a brand new challenge this weekend at the United States Grand Prix in Austin. This iconic track promises to deliver a completely different racing experience compared to the tight confines of the Singapore street circuit, and Bortoleto is eager to make his mark.

The stakes are high as the team looks to rebound from their lackluster performance in Singapore. Bortoleto, who has never raced on the Austin circuit, expressed his excitement: “I can’t wait to race in Austin! It’s one of those circuits that always gets rave reviews, and I’m preparing intensely on the simulator. We’ve taken lessons from Singapore and are ready for the upcoming weekend.” With only one practice session available, the pressure is on for Bortoleto to quickly adapt and fine-tune the car for optimal performance.

Meanwhile, experienced teammate Nico Hülkenberg brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, having previously secured his best finish at this very track back in 2013, when he crossed the line in 6th place with Sauber. Reflecting on his experiences, Hülkenberg stated, “Austin is always a highlight, one of my favorite races on the calendar. The atmosphere, the fans, the track – it’s all incredibly enjoyable, making for a fantastic week. After the ups and downs of Singapore, we’ve reset our focus and are determined to get the most out of the car. The Sprint format gives us less time to prepare, but it’s a level playing field, and we’ll make every lap count to position ourselves well for both the Sprint and the main race.”

With the return of the Sprint race format for the first time since Spa-Francorchamps, this weekend is set to be a pivotal moment for the Sauber team. The team hopes to leverage their experiences from Singapore and capitalize on the unique challenges of the Austin circuit. Will Bortoleto rise to the occasion and secure a standout performance? Fans are on the edge of their seats, eager to witness the drama and excitement unfold at this legendary venue. Stay tuned for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of racing!
