The next generation of BMW models will have a look similar to the Neue Klass range, which has generated great enthusiasm among fans of the German brand.
Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW’s Design Director, assured in an interview with the British “Top Gear” that all future models of the brand, regardless of the engine type, will adopt a Neue Klasse design and share the same high-tech internal features.
“The design and all the new technology will be transferred to the entire product portfolio, including our combustion vehicles. For the customer, it won’t be difficult; they will all receive new modern models and will be able to choose the engine type.”, said van Hooydonk.
It is already known that the first model to adopt the new look will be the successor to the 100% electric iX3, which is set to debut next year, and the new Series 3 is expected in 2026. At the Paris Motor Show this week, BMW showcased the two concepts again, the Vision Neue Klasse X and the Vision Neue Klasse.
Although the concept of the sedan has been around for two years, not much has changed for the production version. “It is true that the upcoming i3 and i8 were very close to their concepts, and that is what will happen here. If there is one thing I like more about the production models, it is the fact that they are a bit more compact – we exaggerated in length and width here – and the fact that they have a bit more detail and are more refined. But the overall image is exactly this,” said Adrian van Hooydonk.
