BMW arranca com a produção do renovado iX

BMW has announced that it has started production of the updated iX at the brand’s factory in Dingolfing, Germany, which is BMW’s largest production facility in Europe. This factory has recently undergone a reconfiguration of the assembly line to produce the Series 5, Series 7, and Series 8 models, alongside the updated iX.

The first SUV from the German brand designed as an electric vehicle since 2021, produced in Dingolfing, has already sold over 130,000 units worldwide, and is now receiving an update that endows the 100% electric model with more power and efficiency, as well as an enhanced style and a new entry-level model.

More kilometers with less energy is what the updated iX promises, utilizing fifth-generation eDrive technology. Additionally, its range can reach up to 701 km.

The new BMW iX also features a more dynamic design than ever: for the first time, the brand’s 100% electric model is available with the M Sport package and the M Sport Pro package, which enhance its sporty image both inside and out.

Furthermore, the updated iX now offers new exterior colors such as metallic Arctic Race Blue, metallic Dune Grey, metallic Carbon Black, BMW Individual Frozen Deep Grey metallic, BMW Individual Frozen Pure Grey metallic, metallic Tanzanite Blue, and Space Silver.

Remember that the entry-level model of the revamped iX will now be the xDrive45, which is positioned below the xDrive60 and M70 xDrive that replace the xDrive50 and the M60 versions.

All versions are equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive, with the entry-level xDrive45 offering 408 hp and promising to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, along with a range of 602 km.

The xDrive60, on the other hand, is tuned to 544 hp, which is an increase of 20 hp compared to the xDrive50 it replaces, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. These two versions have an electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h and a range of 701 km.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line M70 xDrive boasts impressive performance, with a power output of 659 hp in My Mode Sport and a maximum torque of 1,100 Nm, available when Launch Control is activated.
