BMW arrancou com a produção do renovado Série 1 que chega em outubro

BMW announced the start of production of the renewed Series 1 at the Leipzig factory in Germany, a model that will be available in the national market in October.

The renewed model stands out for its dynamic design with some aesthetic changes, while maintaining the characteristic proportions of the brand. The complete range of the renewed Series 1 now consists of the 118d, 120d, 120, and M135 versions, with emphasis on the introduction of a new generation of engines.

Thus, the 120d is equipped with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter diesel engine that delivers 161 hp and 400 Nm of torque, while the petrol variant, 120, comes with a three-cylinder, 1.5-liter engine that delivers 170 hp and 280 Nm of maximum torque. Both incorporate 48-volt mild-hybrid technology.

At the base of the range is the 118d, which features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel, although it has been limited to 148 hp and 360 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

At the top of the range is the M135 version, which, like the 120 gasoline, lost the “i” from its name, and is equipped with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine with 300 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. This version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. In terms of prices, BMW has already revealed that the renewed Series 1 starts at €39,200.
