To celebrate the 46th birthday of the nine-time MotoGP world champion, Valentino Rossi, BMW Motorsport has developed two limited edition versions of the BMW M4 CS, named Edition VR46.
This special edition, which has now started rolling off the production line at BMW in Dingolfing, Germany, features two distinct looks in the Sport and Style variants, with a limited production of 46 units of each version, which are mechanically identical.

Thus, the M4 CS Edition VR46 can be ordered in the exclusive colors Marina Bay Blue Metallic or Frozen Tanzanite Blue Metallic matte, which complement the various exposed carbon surfaces, along with the number 46, Rossi’s number in MotoGP.
Special details extend to Rossi’s famous bright yellow that surrounds the edge of BMW’s traditional kidney grille, as well as the brake calipers. Just like the normal M4 CS, this limited edition features an exposed carbon fiber hood, but it includes the VR46 logo hand-painted in yellow, along with an autograph from Valentino Rossi.

The exclusivity of the exterior design extends equally to the interior, with a Night Blue cabin now featuring yellow accents.
The M Carbon seats are upholstered in Merino leather that combines black and blue, while the São Paulo yellow stands out in the shoulder area lined with Alcantara. The yellow is also present in the VR46 logo on the headrests, the M steering wheel in Alcantara, and in the central console where there is a 1/46 emblem, reinforcing the exclusivity of this limited edition in the Sport and Style variants.

In terms of powertrain, this special edition of the M4 CS Edition VR46 does not bring any novelties and therefore utilizes the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder biturbo engine with 551 hp and 650 Nm of maximum torque.
The power is transmitted to all four wheels through the xDrive system and the M Steptronic eight-speed automatic transmission, which allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302 km/h.
