The sports division of the BMW brand has never sold as much as it did last year. The numbers now revealed show that BMW M sales increased for the 13th consecutive year, reaching 206,582 vehicles in the fiscal year 2024, surpassing the 200,000-unit mark for the second consecutive year.
The high demand for the brand’s high-performance models is also reflected in the growing share that BMW M models had in the success of BMW Group’s results. In 2024, nearly one in ten vehicles sold was an M model (a share of 9.4%), which is also a new record.
The fully electric BMW i4 M50 was the best-selling model for the third consecutive time, followed by the M2 and M3, which recorded growths of 64% and 57%, respectively, compared to 2023.
“The high demand for gasoline and electric models shows that our technology-neutral strategy is also yielding results in the performance and high-performance segment, contributing to record results”, said Sylvia Neubauer, Head of Sales at BMW M GmbH. “Anyone looking for a sporty driving experience will always find it in a BMW M – in all vehicle categories.”
