BMW surprises once again, this time with a prototype created for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, which was revealed on social media before the official presentation.
After revealing the Concept Touring Coupé in 2023, BMW now introduces the Concept Skytop, an elegant one-off Targa-style coupe that seems to hint at a potential successor to the 8 Series.
Featuring a long wheelbase, the Concept Skytop showcases new design details with more clearly defined body lines and slim LED lights.
The front section is marked by BMW’s traditional shark nose, complemented by a new angular interpretation of the kidney grille. Additionally, the hood features two large air intakes, suggesting that this concept utilizes a combustion engine.
The rear end seems to be inspired by the Z8, with smooth lines and slim LED brake lights. Additionally, this Skytop comes with exhaust tips.
It is possible that the Skytop anticipates a luxury model from BMW, considering that this concept now revealed, comes with Aerodisc style wheels and an elegant cockpit lined in leather.
Inside, also noteworthy are the crystal details on the bucket-style seats, as well as on the gear lever and the rotary control of the iDrive system.
