Ryan Blaney, the NASCAR Cup Series champion, is not only dominating the racetrack but also the business world as he ventures into track ownership. Blaney recently announced his co-ownership of the iconic Sharon Speedway in Ohio, a move that holds deep sentimental value for his family.

With a rich history at Sharon Speedway, including his grandfather’s legendary status as a racer and part-owner, Blaney’s investment solidifies the family’s connection to the 3/8-mile dirt track. Alongside his father, Dave Blaney, and local racer/businessman, Will Thomas III, Ryan Blaney now holds a one-third stake in the historic venue.

In an exclusive interview on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Blaney expressed his excitement about the future of Sharon Speedway, emphasizing plans to modernize the facility and attract a younger audience. He shared, “It’s kind of a Blaney staple. And we’re excited for the future. I can’t wait to see what we can do with that place.”

Currently driving the #12 car for Team Penske, Blaney is not just a force on the track but off it as well. Ranked seventh in the championship, he has been making waves with four top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes in the 2025 season.

In another bold statement, Blaney applauded NASCAR’s decision to bring back the championship race to the iconic Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2026. Expressing his personal affinity for the track, he highlighted the positive response from both drivers and fans on social media. Blaney reminisced about the track’s history as the traditional season finale venue, praising NASCAR for listening to fans and returning the championship event to a venue with a strong legacy.

As Blaney continues to excel in his racing career, his foray into track ownership cements his status not just as a driver but as a visionary businessman with a passion for the sport. Stay tuned as Blaney revs up for success both on and off the track, making bold moves that leave a lasting impact on the racing world.
