Bernie Ecclestone Takes Another Shot at Lewis Hamilton: ‘I’m Not a Fan’

Just when you thought Bernie Ecclestone had run out of controversial takes, the former F1 supremo has resurfaced with yet another jab—this time targeting Lewis Hamilton’s fashion, talent, and off-track ambitions.

At 94 years old, Ecclestone remains unfiltered and opinionated, making it very clear that Hamilton’s bold outfits, musical pursuits, and even his perceived racing ability aren’t his cup of tea.

Bernie on Hamilton’s Paddock Outfits: ‘Not a Fan’

If there’s one thing Lewis Hamilton has brought to the F1 paddock—besides seven world titles—it’s a sense of high fashion. From neon colors to oversized streetwear and designer ensembles, Hamilton has turned pre-race walks into runway moments.

But Ecclestone doesn’t approve.

🗣️ “Lewis gets himself up front in a way where you can dislike him. How a guy who has won a few world titles and has a few dollars in the bank can dress the way he dresses… I’m not a fan of that.”

Clearly, Hamilton’s style is too much for the old-school billionaire.

Questioning Hamilton’s Talent? Bernie Just Couldn’t Help Himself

While Ecclestone did acknowledge Hamilton’s success, he wasn’t about to let it go without a backhanded compliment.

🗣️ “He has a lot of talent as a driver. As much as people credit him with? No, but still enough to win races.”

👀 Translation? Ecclestone believes Hamilton is good—but not THAT good.

This is nothing new—Bernie has taken shots at Hamilton before, often downplaying his dominance in an era where Mercedes was nearly untouchable. But with Hamilton now at Ferrari, one would think the narrative might change. Clearly, it hasn’t.

Ecclestone’s Real Frustration? Hamilton’s ‘Nonsense’ Off-Track Ventures

In addition to being a record-breaking F1 driver, Hamilton has also dabbled in music, fashion, and activism.

His secret vocal debut in 2018—under the alias XNDA—was a passion project, with Hamilton teasing more songs in the future. But Ecclestone sees this as a complete waste of time.

🗣️ “I don’t know why he does all this other nonsense. He needs to get out of the music business and whatever else.”

Ecclestone has long criticized Hamilton’s interests beyond racing, previously bashing his activism and philanthropy efforts as distractions.

But here’s the reality—Hamilton isn’t listening.

Hamilton’s Focus? Winning at Ferrari, Not Ecclestone’s Opinions

At 40 years old, Hamilton is embarking on one of the most exciting chapters of his career—his move to Ferrari.

While Bernie might be obsessing over his fashion choices and music, Hamilton has one thing in mind—chasing his eighth world title.

And let’s be real—if Hamilton delivers Ferrari its first drivers’ championship since 2007, no one will care what Ecclestone thinks.

Final Thoughts: Ecclestone Can Keep Talking, But Hamilton Will Keep Winning

❌ Bernie hates Hamilton’s outfits.
❌ Bernie thinks Hamilton isn’t as talented as people say.
❌ Bernie doesn’t like Hamilton’s off-track ventures.

✅ Lewis Hamilton is still a seven-time world champion.
✅ He’s now at Ferrari, with a chance to make history.
✅ And he absolutely doesn’t care what Ecclestone thinks.

The question now is—will Hamilton silence critics like Ecclestone by winning it all at Ferrari? Time will tell.
