Bernie Ecclestone declares Max Verstappen the best ever: is Lando Norris too cocky under pressure?

Ecclestone’s Bold Predictions: Verstappen Reigns Supreme, Norris Lacks Grit!

In a stunning declaration that has sent shockwaves through the motorsport community, the legendary Bernie Ecclestone, 95, has boldly proclaimed Max Verstappen as the “best driver of all time.” His unwavering belief in the Dutch sensation paints a vivid picture of a man who has witnessed decades of Formula 1 history, and now firmly believes that Verstappen is destined to clinch the world title once again. “I still believe Max will make it; he deserves it,” Ecclestone declared emphatically in a recent interview. “In the past, I considered Alain Prost the greatest, but now I believe Max is the best I’ve ever known.”

As the racing world hangs on his every word, Ecclestone has also taken the opportunity to scrutinize Lando Norris, the rising star of McLaren. While he acknowledges Norris’s undeniable talent, he doesn’t hesitate to cast a shadow over his confidence, labeling him “too self-assured and presumptuous.” Ecclestone’s critique doesn’t stop there; he points out that Norris tends to crumble under pressure. “In crucial moments, he gets nervous and fails to deliver when the heat is on, unlike Max,” he stated, drawing a stark contrast between the two drivers.

The former F1 chief went further, suggesting that Norris has been overly favored by his team. “McLaren has been too accommodating to Lando at the expense of Oscar. Take Monza, for instance, where he was allowed to swap positions after a slow pit stop. That’s not how racing works; you have to accept it and not manipulate the outcome,” Ecclestone asserted, illustrating his belief in the integrity of the sport.

With the world watching, Bernie Ecclestone has made his predictions clear: the road to victory is paved for Verstappen. “You can never bet against Max. I hope he finishes the job; he is special and one of a kind.” As the season heats up, all eyes will be on Verstappen and Norris, but according to Ecclestone, the crown is firmly within Verstappen’s grasp.

Stay tuned, as this season is shaping up to be one for the history books!
