Berlin E-Prix: Da Costa lidera na primeira sessão de treinos.

In the first practice session before the FIA Formula E double-header at the Tempelhof circuit in Berlin, Antonio Felix da Costa of Tag Heuer Porsche stood out as the fastest driver. Despite his impressive recent performances, the Portuguese driver has struggled to achieve tangible results. However, he clocked a time of 1:02.289s, narrowly beating Sérgio Sette Câmara of ERT by a tenth of a second. Stoffel Vandoorne of DS Penske, who secured a podium finish in Monaco, took third place, while Max Günther of Maserati MSG Racing, the city’s hero, finished fourth. Jehan Daruvala, also of Maserati MSG Racing, showcased his talent by securing fifth place.

Nick Cassidy, a strong title contender with Jaguar TCS Racing, finished sixth, followed by Jean-Eric Vergne of Penske in seventh. Mitch Evans, the winner in Monaco, came in eighth, with Dan Ticktum in ninth and Joel Eriksson, one of Envision Racing’s substitute drivers, rounding out the top ten. Taylor Barnard, who replaced the recovering Sam Bird for the second consecutive race, finished 15th, just one place behind his teammate Jake Hughes, with only five hundredths of a second separating them. Unfortunately, Pascal Wehrlein, the current championship leader and local favorite, had a disastrous session as his car broke down after just four minutes. To make matters worse, he faced an investigation for allegedly not following the drivers’ briefing instructions.
