Bentley bid farewell in great style to the iconic W12 engine, presenting the Batur Convertible, and has already announced that its successor will be the V8 hybrid, the Ultra Performance Hybrid, which the Crewe brand says will be the most dynamic, responsive, and efficient in Bentley’s history and in line with a new generation of supercars.
Thus, starting from the summer, Bentley will use a hybrid system to create what will be the “most advanced and powerful engine in the brand’s 105-year history”.
The new system is based on Bentley’s existing hybrid engines, but goes even further in terms of performance and efficiency, providing 750 hp of power, 91 hp more than the old W12, along with a torque that Bentley did not specify, but made it clear that it will be in the four-digit range, meaning above 1000 Nm, and an electric-only range of 80 km.
In the coming weeks, Bentley is expected to provide more details about the new Ultra Performance Hybrid system, specifically the technical details of the battery associated with the V8 engine hybrid system.
