Bentley Unleashes Its Most Powerful Sedan Yet: The 2025 Flying Spur PHEV
ADVERTISEMENT

Bentley has redefined luxury and performance with its latest offering, the 2025 Flying Spur PHEV, the brand’s most powerful sedan to date. Packing a combined 771 hp (782 ps) and a jaw-dropping 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque in Sport mode, this electrified beast is set to outclass its predecessor and rival the most iconic sports cars on the road.

A Performance Marvel: Over 11% More Torque Than the W12

Bentley’s 4.0L twin-turbo V8, producing 592 hp (600 ps) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, pairs seamlessly with an electric motor that adds an additional 187 hp (190 ps) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm). This dynamic duo results in a combined output that shatters previous Bentley records, making this the brand’s most powerful sedan ever. The Flying Spur PHEV can rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, outperforming even the legendary Ferrari Enzo.

Electrification Meets Performance

The 25.9 kWh battery allows the Flying Spur to offer up to 47 miles (76 km) of electric-only driving, making it not just a powerhouse but also a sophisticated plug-in hybrid. You can even hit speeds of up to 87 mph (140 kph) in all-electric mode. The combined range is a generous 515 miles (829 km), perfect for long-distance journeys in unparalleled luxury. Charging the battery takes just under three hours at 11 kW.

Active Chassis and Dynamic Driving

Bentley’s Performance Active Chassis takes handling to the next level with all-wheel steering, dynamic ride control, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. The chassis ensures you’re always in control, no matter the driving conditions, thanks to torque vectoring, twin-valve dampers, and three driving modes: Comfort, Bentley, and Sport. The 48.3:51.7 weight distribution ensures impeccable balance, with ESC software designed to accommodate different driving styles.

Ultimate Luxury and Customization

Inside, the Flying Spur continues Bentley’s tradition of offering tens of billions of configuration possibilities. Choose from 22-inch wheels, new seat designs, and high-end leather options, with more than 101 exterior colors, 22 primary leather colors, and a range of bespoke trims and stitching options. The optional rotating display is a highlight, giving drivers the choice between a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, classic analog dials, or a seamless dashboard design.

Pricing and Availability

While Bentley has yet to announce pricing, the 2025 Flying Spur PHEV is expected to start at over $200,000, with some estimates reaching $250,000 depending on configurations. Given its staggering performance and luxury features, the Flying Spur PHEV is poised to be one of the most sought-after luxury sedans in the world when it arrives stateside.

Bentley has once again raised the bar, combining opulent luxury with cutting-edge hybrid technology, ensuring the 2025 Flying Spur PHEV stands as the pinnacle of modern motoring.
