Bentley volta a receber certificação “Net Zero Plastic to Nature”

Bentley Motors has won the “Net Zero Plastic to Nature” title from South Pole for the second consecutive year, after achieving a good assessment in waste management on the company’s campus and local operations.

The international recognition reflects the company’s ongoing environmental initiatives and is a key part of Bentley’s Beyond100 strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.

To obtain the “Net Zero Plastic to Nature” status in 2022, Bentley significantly increased the level of waste management and traceability for its plastic waste, achieving significant success: 97% of plastic waste was processed in 2022, thereby reducing the amount of unprocessed plastic waste to be mitigated. All inbound logistics packaging is processed, including waste minimization for landfills and export. Subsequently, Bentley invested in certified units that support the “Second Life Thailand” project, an initiative focused on collecting, recycling, and reusing plastic waste to prevent it from reaching the oceans and land. The funding amount for mitigation corresponded to the total volume of unprocessed plastic waste found in 2022.

“Bentley’s goal is to be the most sustainable luxury automotive brand in the world. Our Beyond100 strategy is reinventing every aspect of the business, and the “Net Zero Plastic to Nature” award is further evidence of our efforts to address our environmental impact,” emphasized Andreas Lehe, Director of Production at Bentley Motors.
