Bentley já recebeu os primeiros modelos 100% elétricos para equipa de Intervenção Rápida

Bentley Motors announced that it has begun renewing its Rapid Intervention team fleet with the arrival of two fully electric models.

These models are the Volkswagen ID.3 and the ID. Buzz Cargo, which can be charged at 107 charging points powered by over 36,000 solar panels on site.

The transition to electric vehicles in Bentley’s Rapid Intervention fleet is part of the brand’s commitment to meeting environmental goals in line with the Beyond100 strategy.

The new vehicles are also better positioned to operate within the current maximum speed limits (16 km/h) at the Bentley industrial complex, without the stresses or need for technical interventions of combustion engine models.

The arrival of these two new electric Rapid Intervention vehicles follows the example of the company’s on-site logistics operation, which uses only battery-powered vehicles, and is in line with Bentley’s Beyond100 strategy to be completely carbon neutral by 2030.

It is worth noting that the Crewe facilities currently use 100% renewable energy and, in 2018, became the first luxury car manufacturing complex in the UK to be certified as carbon neutral by the Carbon Trust. Other ecological innovations have included a water recycling system in the paint shop, the planting of local trees, and the installation of over 36,000 solar panels.
