A Mulliner, the customization division of Bentley, has just revealed the third project produced to order in the modern era of the British brand, the Batur Convertible, a model that will have a limited edition of only 16 units.
Based on the coupe version of the Batur, this convertible is a two-seater model that will be customized to each customer’s taste, who will have access to a high number of customization possibilities, including an almost infinite color palette.
To complement the design of this convertible, Mulliner’s technicians equipped the Batur Convertible with a rear spoiler “ducktail” integrated and an “Airbridge” in the body color placed behind the headrests.
This convertible version of the Batur Convertible features an electrically retractable canvas top that uses acoustically treated insulation materials to create a luxurious and cozy environment in the cabin when the top is closed. Additionally, the top can be opened or closed in 19 seconds at speeds up to 48 km/h.
The interior of the convertible Batur takes luxury to a higher level, with 3D printed rose gold inserts, produced in collaboration with specialized goldsmiths.
Under the hood, the convertible Batur is one of the latest models from the British brand to be equipped with the legendary 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, producing 740 hp and a maximum torque of 1000 Nm, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission,
The Crewe-based company has enhanced the well-known engine, making changes to the intake system, as well as the turbos, adding new intercoolers, and a titanium exhaust system.
As a result, the convertible Batur is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 322 km/h.
