The automobile model most associated with the name of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina is the Lancia Florida, a model designed by the founder of “Carrozzeria Pinin Farina” in 1955 and which can still be admired today in the Pininfarina SpA Collection in Cambiano (Turin).
In homage to the “faithful” companion of Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina, the Italian brand created the Battista Cinquantacinque hyper GT, a supercar distinguished by a bodywork paint in Blu Savoia Gloss that contrasts with the Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof. In addition, the passenger door and active rear wing feature the words “Cinquantacinque 55,” a clear tribute to the Lancia Florida. The interior features Mahagoni upholstery custom-made (Poltrona Frau Heritage leather).
In terms of motorization, the Battista Cinquantacinque hyper GT is equipped with four independent electric motors powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing for a power output of 1900 hp and a maximum torque of 2340 Nm.
These numbers ensure acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.86 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 4.75 seconds, as well as a range of up to 476 km.
“This was a truly special and unique opportunity to design a car that pays tribute to the heritage of Pininfarina SpA. The color combination of the Battista Cinquantacinque is amazing and showcases the vision that Battista Farina had when he designed the Lancia Florida in the early fifties. Not only that, but this same model helped guide the creation of the PURA Vision design concept, a truly unique vehicle that sets the foundation for future models from Automobili Pininfarina.”, emphasized Dave Amantea, design director of Automobili Pininfarina.
Pininfarina has already announced that the Battista Cinquantacinque will make its public debut in Tokyo, Japan, where it will be presented to customers in the region, alongside partner SKY Group, as part of Automobili Pininfarina’s global expansion.
