Bagnaia took the lead from the start, while Martin had a small moment that allowed Bagnaia to extend his advantage on the second lap. Alex Marquez moved up to third place, overtaking Vinales. After Marc Marquez’s crash, Vinales reclaimed the position from his brother and teammate. He then targeted Martin, who was closing in on the race leader.
By the fourth lap, Bagnaia had a 0.6-second advantage, with Martin trailing by 0.8 seconds and Vinales further behind. Meanwhile, Luca Marini from Honda and Lorenzo Savadori from Aprilia retired from the race – Marini due to an engine problem and Savadori after a fall in the final sector.
As the race progressed, Bagnaia continued to increase his lead over Martin. By the 11th lap, the gap between the two had grown to 1.4 seconds, with Vinales a further 1.7 seconds behind in third place. Enea Bastianini from Ducati was in fourth place, 2.8 seconds behind Vinales. The top four riders then maintained their positions for the rest of the race.
Bastianini made an impressive progress throughout the race, starting from 11th position and climbing to fifth place on the ninth lap. He overtook Brad Binder at Turn 5 and then passed Alex Marquez at Turn 16 to secure fourth place.
On the final lap, Fabio Di Giannantonio took advantage of a mistake by Alex Marquez to claim fifth place. Aleix Espargaro moved up to sixth before suffering a violent crash at Turn 15, his second crash of the weekend.
Brad Binder finished in sixth place for KTM, while Alex Marquez received a three-second penalty for not serving a long-lap penalty on the penultimate lap, dropping to eighth place behind Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo. Franco Morbidelli secured the final point for Pramac in ninth place, while rookie Pedro Acosta had a challenging day on his Tech3 GasGas bike, finishing outside the points.
Marco Bezzecchi crossed the finish line in 11th place for VR46, followed by Miguel Oliveira from Trackhouse Racing and Jack Miller from KTM. Joan Mir was the highest-placed Honda rider in 14th position, ahead of Tech3 GasGas’ Augusto Fernandez and LCR’s Johann Zarco. Raul Fernandez from Trackhouse Racing received a long-lap penalty for exceeding track limits and finished in 17th place. LCR’s Takaaki Nakagami and Yamaha’s Alex Rins, who suffered a crash but returned to the race, completed the list of finishers.
