Francesco Bagnaia secured a comfortable victory in front of his fans at Mugello, claiming his third consecutive win at the Italian Grand Prix. Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin also had great performances, with Bastianini pulling off an impressive move on the final lap to snatch second place from the championship leaders. Bagnaia, who started in fifth due to a penalty, quickly took the lead and held it throughout the race. The top four riders in the standings led the way, with Pedro Acosta as the top KTM rider in fifth place.

There were some notable incidents during the race. Alex Marquez attempted a daring overtake on Bastianini, but ended up conceding his position to the factory Ducati rider. Marquez’s bike also had some smoke issues, but this did not significantly affect his performance. Joan Mir crashed on lap 7, despite showing improvements in the performance of his Repsol Honda bike. Takaaki Nakagami also lost control of his bike, forcing him to retire from the race.

As the race progressed, Bagnaia and Martin maintained a consistent pace, creating a 0.8-second gap to Bastianini. Martin managed to close the gap to 0.4 seconds, but Bagnaia responded and increased his lead once again. Marquez made a late pass on Bastianini, but couldn’t catch the leaders. With three laps remaining, Bagnaia made a small mistake, allowing Martin to close in. However, Bagnaia quickly recovered and secured the win. Bastianini made a strong move on the final lap to finish in second place, completing a one-two for the factory Ducati team. Martin finished in third place.

Aleix Espargaro finished in 11th place, securing Trackhouse Aprilia a double points finish with Raul Fernandez in 12th place and Miguel Oliveira in 14th place. Marco Bezzecchi recovered from a low grid position to finish among the Trackhouse riders in 13th place. Rins secured the final point in 15th place. Jack Miller and Pol Espargaro had disappointing races, finishing in 16th and 17th place, respectively. Fabio Quartararo struggled throughout the race, while Johann Zarco finished in 19th place. Luca Marini and Lorenzo Savadori completed the race in 20th and 21st place, respectively.
