Bagnaia se redime ao vencer o Grande Prêmio da Catalunha.

At the Catalunya Grand Prix in Barcelona, Pecco Bagnaia, the current MotoGP world champion, made up for his fall in the sprint race by defeating Jorge Martin. Bagnaia initially took the lead, but Martin and Pedro Acosta overtook him in the early laps and opened up a significant gap. However, Bagnaia maintained a steady pace while Acosta pressured Martin. On the 11th lap, Acosta fell while trying to overtake Martin, giving Bagnaia a comfortable lead. Bagnaia gradually closed the gap to Martin and successfully overtook him on the 17th lap. Martin could not respond and finished 1.7 seconds behind Bagnaia. With this victory, Bagnaia extended his lead over Martin, who is second in the championship standings.

Marc Marquez, another rider, took a risk by using a soft rear tire. Despite starting in 14th position, Marquez stood out in the pack and overtook several riders, including Franco Morbidelli and Brad Binder. He ended up finishing in third place, just 0.052 seconds ahead of Aleix Espargaro. Espargaro, who dropped from first to fifth place early on, could not keep up with the leaders’ pace. This race may have been his last MotoGP race on his home track, as he announced his retirement at the end of the year. Raul Fernandez, who crashed while leading in the previous race, had a less competitive performance but still achieved his best result of the season with the Aprilia 2023. Unfortunately, he was overtaken by Fabio Di Giannantonio on the final lap and finished in sixth place.

Alex Marquez, also using a soft rear tire, had a decent race and finished in seventh place. Binder, who had a good start but struggled with pace, ended up in eighth place. Jack Miller, his teammate at KTM, had a literal crash and retired from the race. Other riders who retired included Augusto Fernandez and Morbidelli. Fabio Quartararo managed to salvage a ninth place for Yamaha, overtaking Miguel Oliveira on the final lap. Alex Rins, Quartararo’s teammate, had a tough race after going through the long-lap loop early on. Maverick Vinales, riding for Aprilia, had a disappointing race and finished in 12th place.

After his crash, Acosta returned to the race and managed to pass the Honda riders to secure three points for 13th place. It was a disastrous race for Bagnaia’s teammate at Ducati, Enea Bastianini, who struggled to make progress and received penalties for track cutting. He did not serve the penalties properly and ended up receiving a time penalty at the end, which took him out of the points.
